San Marcos Worker Dies In Collapse

A worker was killed and another injured in a San Marcos industrial accident. A pre engineered metal building frame being erected for a new building at Thermon Manufacturing Company collapsed according to a city news release.

The injured worker was taken to University Medical Center at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin and was expected to recover.

The construction project was contracted to Bailey Elliott Construction an Austin firm. Jim Schuber, Thermon's general counsel, said the accident was the first of its kind there to his knowledge.
