An Arlington boy died Friday after he and his mother were injured in a crash involving a drunken driving suspect. Tavian Sabur, 10 was riding with his mother on Petra Drive about 6pm Thursday when they stopped at a four way stop at Nathan Lowe Road. As their vehicles entered the intersection, it was struck by a westbound sport utility vehicle that had failed to stop.

Tavian was rushed to Medical Center of Arlington and then to Cook Children's Me cal Center in Fort Worth where he died Friday morning. His mother was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.

The SUV's driver 29 year old Walter Tendai Chidyausiku of Arlington was not seriously injured. He faces two counts of intoxication assault, which will be upgraded to intoxication manslaughter due to the boys death.
